Requirements
ReGeneration Schools Chicago operates three tuition-free, K-8 public charter schools on Chicago's South Side. Our schools are open to all families residing within the city of Chicago.
Enrollment Process
October - September
Submit an application to any of our three K-8, college-prep, tuition-free public charter schools located on the south side of Chicago.
Eligibility:
- Proof of Chicago residency is required.
- To be considered for the lottery, applications must be submitted by 5:00 pm March 21, 2025.
- Applications received after 5:00 pm on March 21, 2025 will be added to the waitlist in the order they are received.
- Children who turn 5 years old between September 2 - December 31, 2025 may inquire about the kindergarten early admission process.
February - June
Attend an open house or schedule a school tour to learn more about the ReGen model, meet our school leaders and tour a campus. Virtual options also available.

April - August
For applications received before March 21, 2025, CICS will hold a virtual lottery on April 9, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Families will receive an offer via email and mail within two weeks of the lottery.
If a family applies after the lottery on April 9, 2025, parents/guardians will be notified within two business days if there is a seat available. If there are no seats available, students will be put on a waitlist.
Once an offer is received, parents/guardians must accept the offer and complete the registration process to be fully enrolled.

April - August
To secure your child’s spot at a ReGen campus, you must accept your child’s offer and complete the registration process. Completing registration includes providing the following documentation:
- Child’s birth certificate (issued by the state) or guardianship documents
- Two proof of residency documents. Eligible documents include:
- Parent/Guardian state ID or driver's license
- Utility bill (gas or electric)
- Payroll stub
- Bank or mortgage statement
- Recent medical records (immunization, dental, physical)
- Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504, if applicable
Parents/Guardians may contact the main office for support to complete registration.
